Odile Soudant is a visual artist born in Paris, France.
Odile experiments our relationship to light, manipulates and explores all its facets to recreate it in various ways.
Her work plays with reflection, with materials and the limits of perception by using the immateriality of artificial or natural light throughout different mechanisms.
Her personal art installations take different forms, such as monumental installation, sculptures, paintings, unique pieces, perennial or ephemeral.
Her immersive artworks moves by their subtility and elegance; where the chromatic impact reveals rather than illuminates.
The new sources she brings, give balance to a space, the expression of its right dimension, under different forms and in different artistics contexts.
Thus, she questions the spectator, his memory, his relationship to space and to his own sensations.
In 2022 she participated to the collective exhibition « la fin est dans le commencement et cependant on continue » at the Martell’s foundation.
Her installation called LUXEPHEMERA continues into the digital sphere, as a NFTs collection and therefore reach a wider audience.
Back in Paris LUXEPHEMERA became LUXAETERNA, a new installation which finally revealed the artworks that created the projected lights.
These lights pieces are available on request.
Nowadays, Odile Soudant works in a atelier in the heart of Le Marais, where she displays her very own creation, sculptures, light pieces and custom works.
In 2009, she founded Lumières Studio, a lightning design studio with which she illuminates architectural, urban, or events projects while continuing to develop more personals works.
